With the escalating scale of this disaster our funding needs have now trebled. Despite the work UNICEF have already done on the ground, large numbers of children have not yet been reached. The floods have destroyed homes‚ schools and crops leaving millions of children with no shelter or food. The stagnating water and sweltering temperatures are also creating perfect conditions for the spread of life-threatening diseases including malaria, acute diarrhoea and cholera.
